BSNL Free Intranet TV , December 23, 2024 – Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), India’s trusted telecom partner, has launched three pioneering services that promise to redefine digital experiences across the nation. The services, launched in Puducherry, offer unparalleled access to entertainment and connectivity, reinforcing BSNL’s mission to bring digital services to every corner of the country.
1. Free Intranet TV (BiTV) for Mobile Users
In a first-of-its-kind move, BSNL has launched the Intranet TV (BiTV) service, bringing over 300 live TV channels, including premium channels, to mobile users in Puducherry, free of cost. Developed in partnership with OTTplay, this service offers not just live TV, but also a variety of movies, web series, and documentaries in multiple languages. The service leverages BSNL’s secure mobile intranet for uninterrupted streaming, ensuring a seamless entertainment experience for all BSNL mobile users in Puducherry.
BSNL CMD emphasized, “With BiTV, BSNL is empowering customers with on-the-go access to high-quality entertainment, free of cost, irrespective of their mobile plan. This is a perfect alternative to outdated PRBT systems and a game-changer in the digital entertainment landscape.”
The BiTV service will be expanded to Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Jharkhand in January 2025, with plans for nationwide availability soon after.
2. National Wi-Fi Roaming Facility in Manadipattu Village
BSNL has also introduced a National Wi-Fi Roaming Facility, which extends its Wi-Fi coverage across the country, including rural areas. Manadipattu, located in Puducherry, is the second village in India to be fully Wi-Fi enabled. The facility allows both BSNL and non-BSNL customers to seamlessly access Wi-Fi hotspots across the country, ensuring high-speed internet connectivity in even the most remote areas.
BSNL FTTH customers can access their home internet from any BSNL Wi-Fi hotspot nationwide, with only their home data account being charged. For BSNL mobile users, logging into Wi-Fi hotspots is made simple with a one-time registration, enabling high-speed downloads and internet usage from FTTH networks.
BSNL CMD stated, “This initiative will bridge the rural-urban digital divide, providing affordable high-speed internet to every Indian, anywhere in the country.”
3. Fibre-Based Intranet TV (IFTV) Service for FTTH Customers
BSNL’s Intranet Fibre-based TV (IFTV) service, launched nationwide in October 2024, is now available to all FTTH customers in Puducherry. Offering over 500 live TV channels, the service is free of charge and utilizes BSNL’s robust FTTH network to deliver high-definition streaming without buffering. Customers can easily activate the service by providing their consent, giving them control over their entertainment experience.
“The IFTV launch is a transformative step for our FTTH customers, offering them premium entertainment at no additional cost,” said the BSNL CMD. “With superior streaming quality, BSNL is setting a new benchmark in home entertainment.”
A Vision for a Digitally Connected India
These groundbreaking initiatives from BSNL emphasize the company’s commitment to digital inclusion, ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital revolution. From providing free entertainment to offering affordable internet connectivity, BSNL is driving India toward a digitally connected future.
With these services, BSNL continues to lead the charge in transforming India into a digital powerhouse, bringing advanced technology and world-class entertainment to millions of its customers.
